Brad Kieserman

Mr. Keiserman was a panelist for the Forum’s discussion on Extreme Hurricanes.

Brad Kieserman is the Vice President of Operations and Logistics for the American Red Cross.  Brad is responsible for how the Red Cross responds to disasters throughout the country, and is committed to serving the needs of disaster survivors.

 

Prior to joining the Red Cross in June 2015, Brad worked and served in several executive positions at FEMA, as the Deputy Associate Administrator for Federal Insurance, Assistant Administrator for Recovery, and Chief Counsel. Before coming to FEMA. Brad was the Associate General Counsel for Operations & Enforcement at the Department of Homeland Security.

 

Brad also served 22 years in civilian, enlisted, and commissioned officer positions with the U.S. Coast Guard. His tours of duty in the Coast Guard included 11 years at sea, 10 years as a federal maritime law enforcement officer, over 5 years leading and coordinating national operations under the President’s Maritime Operational Threat Response Plan, and two years as Commanding Officer of a patrol boat.
