Cristine Russell is an award-winning journalist who has written about science, health and the environment for more than three decades. She is a Senior Fellow in the Environment and Natural Resources Program of the Harvard Kennedy School Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and an Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy. Russell, a former national science reporter for The Washington Post, is currently a contributing editor for the Columbia Journalism Review and a correspondent for The Atlantic online. She is the president of the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing, a group of distinguished journalists and scientists dedicated to improving science news coverage for the general public.
