Elana Gordon is a reporter and producer at The World, where she has covered everything from the expansion of overdose prevention sites in Canada to the World Health Organization’s move to recognize Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Her stories have also been featured on NPR, Kaiser Health News, The Washington Post, and the podcasts “99% Invisible” and “Criminal.” Elana is a founding member of WHYY’s health and science show, “The Pulse.”
She came to Boston in 2018 as a Knight Science Journalism fellow at MIT. That same year, her ongoing coverage of drug use in Philadelphia received a regional Edward R. Murrow Award.
