Jalaa’ Abdelwahab was a panelist for the Forum’s discussion on Eradicating Polio.
Jalaa’ has spent the past 15 years dedicated to eradicating polio—including significant time in the field in Egypt, Somalia, South Sudan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan—with organizations including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, and UNICEF. Today, Jalaa’ serves as Senior Health Advisor and Deputy to the Global Polio Team Leader at UNICEF Headquarters, working towards the global goal of a polio-free world by 2018.
