Jose E. Sanchez is Deputy Director of Research & Development, US Army Corps of Engineers, and Former Director of Puerto Rico Power Grid Restoration Program. Sanchez has served as the deputy director of CHL since 2009, overseeing the team that performs ocean, waterways and watershed regional analyses research and support. From 2008 – 2009, he served as chief of the USACE Civil Works Asset Management Program. Additionally, he has been a key advocate for USACE’s Educational Partnership Agreements with minority educational institutions.
