Marissa Miley was the moderator for the Forum’s discussion on Putting Mothers and Babies First.
Marissa is the Deputy Editor of Global Health for The GroundTruth Project, in partnership with GlobalPost, and an award-winning journalist. Her reporting honors include a GlobalPost Special Reports team award in public health reporting from the Association of Health Care Journalists. She also co-authored the New York Times bestseller Restless Virgins.
Miley has received journalism fellowships from the United Nations Foundation (2013), the Kaiser Family Foundation (2013), and the International Reporting Project (2014), through which she has reported under-covered public health stories on the ground from Zambia to Brazil and in the US as well. She is a graduate of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, where she was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow in science and health writing.
